Yawm El Ghadab Video Released!
Alright, I've finally finished the Yawm El Ghadab video
- based on the track of the same name on Shabaka. It was
shown on Dream TV, where I hopefully managed to talk about
it without making a fool of myself. In any case, you can
watch the video .

Well,
we're almost there...!!!
Okay, things are moving on. The Shabaka tape material
is about to be released - expect it out sometime next
week or so...the CD will follow soon afterwards, and,
as reported earlier, has 4 extra tracks on it.
Meanwhile,
has interviewed us in their December issue,
that's out now. Buy the magazine - or read the interview

Censorship
Hell...
Alright. Things are taking a little more time than expected.
The response from the censorship bureau was this - they
don't understand the shabaka material - they are
mystified by it.
They
don't 'get it'...
They
are now asking us to explain the tracks. What's
to explain? Who knows? But in any case, we have to explain
it somehow. So - the record label (Slam!) is now
attempting to help the censorship bureau make more sense
of the tracks...

Nothing
but the censors...
The Shabaka material is now at the censors, and things
are hopefully going smoothly. As soon as it's approved
by the censorship authority (yes, they need convincing...)
it'll be printed and released.

CD
Mastering Done!
Alright - the full 16 tracks have been mastered. The mastering
was done by Mohamad Sakr at the Golden Arts Studio in
Sudan St. The tracks have more sub-bass to them, the frequencies
are sounding sweeter than ever, and the whole thing just
rocks. Wait till you hear it - you'll know what we mean.
