"Blumen" Artist Residency Program
Within its artist-in-residence program "blumen" offers residency for one artist or an artist couple in Leipzig for the year 2007.
During each stay the artist will be provided with a studio room in the centre of Leipzig. Travelling expenses for arrival and departure as well as production costs are fully financed by "blumen" [and no, I don't know why they put it in quotes, Ed.]. Public events and presentations like exhibitions, open studios and discussion forums are arranged in agreement with the resident.

Artist Opportunities - Call For Submissions
Art Moves Africa (AMA) Grants
Grants are provided for diverse artistic disciplines and cultural initiatives as well as for participation in festivals, biennials, artist residencies, productions, touring, workshops and professional development meetings.
For mobility projects planned between 13 October 2006 and 12 February 2007, don't miss the deadline of September the 1st 2006 to send applications.

2 workshops will be held on the sidelines of the 'Independent Music Festival' - Alexandria - Egypt, 15-19 April 2006.
1. Low-budget audio recording workshop.

provide complete accommodation for participants from outside Alexandria.

Concept Exhibition: The Design Pot!
The Design Pot is currently holding a concept exhibition in Mohandessein. The Artists showing their stuff include; Karma (Jewellery), Malak Nagaty (Design Accessories), Malak Helmy (Paintings), Enigma (Candles), Karim El Shaboury (Prints & Artwork - and I'm sure a couple of others that I've not mentioned.
In any case, the exhibition is on till the end of Dec, 2005 - and is located @ 25 Tanta Street in Mohandessein.

Registration Bug Fixed!
Sorry, I just found out that the user registration page hasn't been working. This was due to a configuration error that happened when the hosting service was upgraded.
