Vandals broke a statue of Pharaonic times in a city of Egypt, according to the radio “Vesti FM”.

According to the testimony of local residents, the monument was dumped by the supporters of the local branch of one of Islamist movements.

City authorities have not yet confirmed the involvement of Islamists into the act of vandalism and suggested that everyone should wait for the results of the investigation.
